@Abraham Axler tinta negra dominates, but it's quite fascinating stuff. I haven't had much Barbeito of late, which bottlings let you down?

I thought the rainwater was really junk. I may have an unfair prejudice against tinta negra but artificial heating so often comes with it.

In his book on Madeira, Alex Lidell wrote of four undated but ancient Henriques & Henriques wines called the "Heavenly Quartet." This was one of them. Likely a blend from late 18th century.
