Auslese Cochemer Nikolausberg Riesling 2005

This is by far my favorite Riesling. Solid flavor, not at all acidic, and very smooth. This particular year was an award winner in Europe so good luck finding any bottles. — 8 years ago

Pago de los Capellanes

Tinto Crianza Ribera del Duero Tempranillo Blend 2011

Ruby ring on a dense body. Beautiful fruit on the nose. On the palate, ripe, flirty berries all over the place. Perfect wine to remember why you fell in love in the first place. — 8 years ago

Few better ways to ring in the weekend than with #champagne. Bereche's winning combo of nutty richness plus currents of bright acidity and stoney minerality = stalwart happy maker. — 9 years ago

Laborum Malbec 2011

2011 - This is not Malbec for the masses and will probably ring a little softer with the average diner, but it is beautiful! Higher elevation with more acidity and a more transparent infrastructure. — 8 years ago

Swanson Vineyards

Alexis Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

Welcome to Dr Todd's Wine Bar once again. Tonight we are tasting Elizabeth and Clarke Swanson's 2002 Alexis from Oakville Estates in Napa Valley. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The cork has a 3mm ring that is well defined. The legs are 4 seconds. The boquet is that of ripe plums. the initial palate is blackberry currant. There is no tanic boquet or taste. The finish is minimally dry, spicy and tantelizing tonthe roof of the mouth. The middle edges of the toungue are tingling. This is very very very good wine!!! I will try and contact the wine makers and order a case of this beautiful wine! Its most likely not available... — 9 years ago

Rive della Chiesa

Prosecco

DOC
I chose this particular Prosecco because it was the only one (out of about 8 at a local wine store) that was NOT extra dry. It has a nice, light golden color, with tiny bubbles, and a refreshing taste. It is dry, but not so much so that it detracts from the fruit flavor. It was a great wine to ring in the new year!

10.5% alcohol, $13.99
Note: in stead of a cage covering the cork there was a string wrapped around the neck of the bottle and run over top of the cork. I've not ever seen anything like this before.
