Was served chilled, and it was interesting to see how the flavor developed. A bit funky, in a good way. — 7 years ago
Carbone Restaurant. Delicious!! — 9 years ago
2021 vintage. A bit of everything. Esteemed producer. Excellent nose. Front-palate richness. Mid-palate power and presence. Pleasantly astringent and beyond substantial finish. I usually eschew Barbera d'Alba for the resto list but couldn't deny this one. Picked up two cases and may pick up more to have laying around for 1.5-2 years. At the ridiculous resto price of $26.67, I can't afford not to. So delicious. 01.29.25. — 5 months ago
Pours a copper-gold color that will immediately make you wonder if this has been oxidized, but apparently that's the style. Like their reds, they seem to turn everything up to 11 in Montefalco.
After decanting in the glass, aromas of toffee, white flowers, almonds, bitter oranges, and minerals. Very funky and interesting, but not something I'd hand innocent wine drinkers. — 8 months ago
What a winner! Fresh and lonely and such a clean mineral finish! Paired it with a beer, carrot and pomegranate salad, and also with shrimp and grits. Worked great with both. — 10 months ago

Blend of blend of 60% Carricante, 25% Catarratto, 10% Grecanico and 5% Minnella, aged in French oak for 10 months. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits adding honeysuckle blossom. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and lemon citrus with creamy vanilla wrapped in generous acidity, long finish ending with wet stone minerality. Nice! — 7 months ago

Floral cider glou glou — 7 years ago
Alto Adige on full display with tart bitterness of pitted fruits and slate. Lush tropical notes and a hint of vanilla (the Chard?) round out the frame. Not much of a finish to speak of. Crisp enough for seafood, but with a ripeness that will pair well with a host of cheeses or your favorite South Asian hot sauce. QPR heaven too! — 9 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Made with the local grape Carricante, pale to medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and honey floral notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and pear with slight citrus and nutty notes. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with salty mineral nutty character. Very Nice! — 4 months ago
