Surprisingly fruity, strong - yet elegant. Fresh pepper and medium complexity. — 7 years ago
vigna di 50 anni e più, una grandissima ciliegia ma si distingue per un buon equilibrio, un bel corpo e struttura — 9 years ago
An amazing Barolo for a special meal. This 2009 vintage is full of fruit and is well balanced. Medium bodied and medium tannins this wine is an exceptional wine and offers great pairing opportunities including marinara pasta, spaghetti Bolognese or chicken Parmesan, antipasti of sun dried tomatoes, parmesan reggiano and other Mediterranean specialties. Old world aromatics of red fruit, leather and minerality complement the tart dark cherry foundation. Enjoy now or within five years for best experience of aromatic integration as this beauty matures. — 10 years ago
Fascinating and delightful wine from the rare Centesimino grape made naturally. Lithe and pretty and very nose: red fruit - raspberry, plum, cherry; flowers - jasmine (?) and lily (?); white pepper and five spice. No oak. Full bodied. Medium plus grainy tannin. Medium acid. Pleasingly dry. Long finish. High alc in balance. Fruit character has a slight tartness that keeps this fresh. So yummy. — 7 years ago

While I picked it for part of my parents' 30th anniversary present for the label (which is symbolic of the laughter and jokes shared between them), it's surprisingly good! — 10 years ago

Deep garnet color, nose hint of eucalyptus and tar, fruit: cherry, strong tannins, coffee, pine. Slightly unbalanced due to relatively mild acidity but this it is still young to drink and may improve over time. Overall, very pleasant and likely to get better with age. — 6 years ago
