Great wine from an up-and-coming winemaker. Got to give a shout out to my boy Daniel Benton, a hometown North Carolina boy! — 13 years ago
Incredible cider. Starting to show just a little bit of bottle development in such a nice way. The nose is expressively aromatic with a honeyed, spiced baked red and yellow apple pastry vibe that's really delightful. On the palate it shows a bit more focused, still honeyed but the apple character seems more fresh than baked. Finishes nice and dry, with great acidity and has a bit of weight as well. One of the best ciders I've ever had, for sure. — 10 years ago

Some of the best wines that the Yadkin Valley has to offer comes from McRitchie Winery & Ciderworks. This is their signature red. It's a big and bold Bordeaux blend that can't be missed. Perfect with filet! — 14 years ago

Ever since my trip to Walla Walla and Benton City, I have been a die-hard believer in Washington fruit and especially the fruit from the Red Mountain. It is so unique, at least to me in the fact it is bold, structured and powerful yet restrained some. This wine shows great balance, nice grippy tannins, ample acidity, lots of red and black fruit with some underlying hints of leather and tobacco. Give this a good hour decant or lay it down for at least 5 years. — 9 years ago
