Very dry, tannin , dark purple color - probably requires more time to air. Paired nicely with soft cheese — 8 years ago

Continuing the Syrah kick. Pax Mahle working with Cardiac Hill fruit. The most northern rhone wine I've ever tasted out of CA, this could kill in a blind tasting. I'm now drinking it on day 3 and it's finally starting to come into a zone. It's still dry and austere, but with wonderful blue fruit underneath. This thing needs 10 years. — 10 years ago
Great value - very drinkable wine for under $15. Jammy nose, dark rich color, soft fruit - that I would describe as plum. Can't go wrong with this one. — 11 years ago

First guy was corked, but #2 was spot on! Ripe fruit, rich, nutty, and nice texture — 12 years ago
Monthly WTF group. Theme this month was merlot. All wines tasted blind.
I guessed this was French and that it was mid-2000s. Quite a bit of herbal notes, soft plum and stewed red and black fruits. Low acidity. Came across as over the hill a bit, which is surprising given the vintage. Still a nice merlot from Sonoma. — 7 years ago
Good earthy notes, heavier with more oak than expected — 8 years ago
