As I put my sweet baby girl to bed after a looong day, snuggling with her in her new "big girl bed", I found a stray eyelash on her cheek. Maybe I'm alone in this, but for as long as I can remember I have been superstitiously transferring these from one finger to another...and if I blow the lash off while making a wish, "they" say it will come true. I tried wishing this was a 2007 Screaming Eagle - or that I could magically be beamed onto David Lentine's Napa trip for the night (ha!). Alas, no such luck. Seriously thou, with my kids' lashes, I have always wished the same thing: "may you have a wonderful life." Deceivingly complex. Definitely better as it warms up. Lemon juice, pear and apple on a thick bed of salinity and stony minerality. Serious length and depth. More complexity and raw power than the Cuvée Diane (the NV Blanc de Blanc) but not quite as polished and composed. — 10 years ago

Magnificent stuff providing an array of aromas and flavors, this is flirting with perfection! By far the pay refined and elegant vintage to date, this sets a new standard to what's possible in Southeastern Tuscany. Polished tannins and lovely acidity are tucked to bed by silky sweet black curtsy fruit and area specific roasted herb additions. Great, layered, long and very promising finish showing tremendous potent for the long haul. Together with Gabbro 2010, this is Fabio's best wine to date. — 10 years ago

This small production sebastiani proves big estates can make artisanal wine. This comes from a rocky 2.6 acre plot of land and is so unique to the terroir. Big warm cherry pie nose with delicious palate of crushed stone and minerality that lingers in your mouth amid the cherry and strawberry shortcake palate. I can literally taste the limestone on the finish. Really good small production and modest priced wine. Awesome . Ps- i doubt the wine delectable has for sale is the same. It's easily confused with other sebastiani"s including the gravel bed prop red. This one sells for around 60 bucks and is tiny production. — 11 years ago
