Red and black fruits - a savoury plum character - also a note of creosote and tar. A lovely medium to full bodied palate - reeks of old vine Barossa Shiraz. Drinks well now but will easily last until 2030. Malcolm Stopp is the Brand Ambassador for Peter Lehmann and his comments are worth repeating, particularly the last sentence, “The bouquet beautifully incorporates dark briary fruits, chocolate and a touch of aniseed, whilst the finish is firm yet finely grained. A wine of great dignity that will continue to improve with still many years of careful cellaring. If you don’t like this wine there’s bugger all we can do……!!! — 9 months ago
The palate is rich, round & soft with concentrated berry fruit & hints of anise. These flavours are enhanced by velvety tannins & spicy length of flavour on the finish.
Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz is a blend of Shiraz parcels sourced from premium vineyards throughout the Barossa. Parcels selected for Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz have bright, rich fruit concentration with a range of flavours from red berries to rich plums and a hint of savoury notes.
The fruit is fermented for up to ten days depending on the parcel of fruit, then aged for 12 months in a mix of American and French Oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blends complexity through a staged selection process. The resultant wine is soft and plush with lots of flavour, balance and a fine tannin structure — 8 years ago
Very nice Aussie Riesling! Lots of citrus and honey notes. Some notes of slate. Very pleasant. — 10 years ago
Thick. Luscious and got plenty of legs. Love this blend — 11 years ago
2005. A house favourite and one of the best expressions of New World Riesling which exists. The late release adds both a great story but the required time to make this superb wine really sing. — 11 years ago
Outstanding - menthol & chocolate with juniper berries in there somewhere - oak remains a silent partner — 11 years ago

Jacob’s Creek is in my top ten for all flavors of wines. I love the barrel flavor at the end — 8 years ago
Nice. Big fruit, but not as ripe as what I expected from a barossa Shiraz. Evolved with air. Finish only slightly herby. — 8 years ago
A perfect balance between oak and fruit (blackberry) from this Barossa Shiraz. Great winemaking from John Duval who has quite the CV. John was Chief Winemaker at Penfolds from 1986 until 2002 being only the 3rd custodian of Penfolds Grange after Max Schubert (creator of Grange) and Don Ditter. In 2020 this wine received Shiraz of the Year and 99 points from the James Halliday Wine Companion. The product of old vines in the Barossa. Luscious but in balance and overall - delicious. — 7 months ago
I haven’t had this wine since the late 2000’s.
As good as I remember it.

Yep a #barossa Grenache. Easy drinking. Had a lightness and elegance to it. Good fruit structure and balance. The Tuesday night pizza wine. #aussiewine — 11 years ago
Huge, classic Barossa Shiraz--loads of fruit but a bit more balanced now. — 11 years ago

12/2025. Bold and smooth. Nice on the palate. Paired well with the dry aged ribeye at Halls Chophouse. — 6 months ago
