I haven’t had this wine since the late 2000’s.
As good as I remember it.

Very nice blue & purple fruits with just right amount of spice & pepper to pair with BBQ Ribs!
Torbreck’s entire line up top to bottom is rock solid.
It wasn’t the game outcome we were looking for but, congratulations to Andy Reid & the Kansas City Chiefs. — 6 years ago
Full of dark fruit, delicious creaminess, long finish.. at its peak I think. I am glad I opened it yesterday. This is the Shiraz — 7 years ago
Holy smokes. This is the best of Australian Barossa valley wine. This Shiraz was gifted to me 13 years ago by a good friend, Ron Candy - a gentleman of gentleman. A true Ozzie with a heart of gold. It was on this date too, while I was living in Sydney, 13 years ago that I lost my friend, my golf buddy, my business partner and father-in-law Herb Schimeneck to the wicked complications and consequences of cancer. If you’re drinking tonight, and so moved, raise a glass to Ron, and especially to Herb - two great men that helped me became a better version of myself than I could have imagined or hoped for. Cheers to you all.....my friends today and of tomorrow. — 8 years ago
Thick. Luscious and got plenty of legs. Love this blend — 10 years ago
2005. A house favourite and one of the best expressions of New World Riesling which exists. The late release adds both a great story but the required time to make this superb wine really sing. — 11 years ago
Enormous oak. Hard to believe this is 16 years old. Plenty of life. — 12 years ago
A special project wine for the US and China marketplace. This is a 100% Shiraz with a medium-bodied style, ripe and very generous with plenty full flavors of mulberry, ripe blackberry, mocha and hints of blackforrest chocolate cake. It has a noticeable freshness on the palate which and a smooth cocoa powder finish, quite appealing to those who are looking for ready to go Shiraz from Australia. — 9 months ago
Love me some AUS Barossa Shiraz — 5 years ago
NV Sparkling Shiraz. Basket press. Dark purple hue. Wow - amazing nose. Black plums, sweet spice, mulberries, leather, and hints of earthy manure. Fabulous. On the palate, off dry, high acidity, deep concentration of flavours, medium plus body and medium alcohol. Great depth on the long lingering finish. A revelation. Clearly the best sparkling Aussie wine I have tried, never mind sparkling red wine. Awesome. 94 points. — 9 years ago
This highly rated (for this vintage), very affordable reserve Shiraz has lasted nicely. Found it tucked away in the storage unit after its two dozen cousins disappeared probably 5 to 8 years ago. It was very strong still, with lots of fruit surrounded by hints of black pepper. Pleasantly surprised. — 10 years ago
Huge, classic Barossa Shiraz--loads of fruit but a bit more balanced now. — 11 years ago
Perfect. It's f-ing perfect. — 11 years ago
All class and will only get better with time — 12 years ago
Everything about this wine is DARK. Deep ruby/purple color bordering on black. Aromas of black and blue fruit, Asian spices and coffee. Flavors of cooked black berry/plum/currant fruit, bakers chocolate, tar and espresso. Hint of black pepper on the long, lingering and silky finish. Extremely concentrated with lively acidity. Tannins are firm but in harmony. This is a wine you quickly take notice of. Probably at (or just past) its peak. Thanks for the wonderful gift, Petey P! — 10 months ago
fruity mainly black fruit. vanila nose with spice.not oaky. full body. medium bold. very soft tannin and adequate acidity. very well balanced. — 6 years ago
The palate is rich, round & soft with concentrated berry fruit & hints of anise. These flavours are enhanced by velvety tannins & spicy length of flavour on the finish.
Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz is a blend of Shiraz parcels sourced from premium vineyards throughout the Barossa. Parcels selected for Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz have bright, rich fruit concentration with a range of flavours from red berries to rich plums and a hint of savoury notes.
The fruit is fermented for up to ten days depending on the parcel of fruit, then aged for 12 months in a mix of American and French Oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blends complexity through a staged selection process. The resultant wine is soft and plush with lots of flavour, balance and a fine tannin structure — 7 years ago
Smells kind of like... Wax, I suppose and mild oak.
Tastes big. Dark berries, nice round tanins with a mild finish. — 9 years ago
Amazing wine......drinking with Rob K who just got promoted (again) to Full Prof (yes the spelling of Full is correct).....at this rate he will be Dean of the Faculty by August. Wine is a wild mixture of petroleum, chocolate, toffee, blueberrys.......everlasting finish......for a 2002 this thing is hitting its prime right now — 9 years ago
Probably didn't need this bottle. It's number 4 — 10 years ago
Yep a #barossa Grenache. Easy drinking. Had a lightness and elegance to it. Good fruit structure and balance. The Tuesday night pizza wine. #aussiewine — 11 years ago
I love Dan Standish. He is one of the best winemakers. Lovely wine, very young. Blueberry and Red silky fruit. Full Bodied but not overly alcoholic, heat isn't obvious in this wine. Great length and layers of flavours. Big points from me 95 points. A producer I highly recommend! Typical sweet Barossa fruit, very seductive... — 11 years ago
Nice granache syrah — 12 years ago

Fantastic cult wine that I’ve had the pleasure of trying a couple of times now. Lives up to the hype. Amazing in all aspects. Big but super pretty and just keeps rewarding you with greatness every time you return to you glass. — 9 months ago
