Christmas dinner on Boxing Day — 7 years ago
After searching long and hard found one of my fav pinots from Otago NZ. Wish I had bought a case. Smooth, dark berries and perfect Bay Area summer drinking. I like this slightly more chilled than other Pinots. — 8 years ago
Gewurztraminer is a varietal that does particularly well in New Zealand in my tasting experience. Gorgeous nose of lychees with floral spicy notes. Voluptuous on the front and middle palates but finishes dry. The perfect wine with Asian food. In a word - delicious. Another brilliant Gewürztraminer is made at Gisborne in the North Island by Vinoptima whose goal it is to produce the worlds best Gewürztraminer to challenge the Grand Crus of Alsace. — 8 years ago
Oh yeah. Fruit drive florals. All the good stuff. — 9 years ago
Moderate plus acids drive this wine into a floral realm. Balance of this wine is at the top of the top. Beautiful wine, with an exciting mouth feel. — 9 years ago
Umm, not dry. Can't remember how much sugar, but it's about medium dry. Very good, too - mellow lemon, honey tones from age, generous, fresh and juicy through the palate, shapely and with bags of charm. — 10 years ago

Golden, peach and licorice on the nose and beautifully balanced restrained palate. Seamless oak and good length. Perfect Chardonnay right now. — 10 years ago
On the nose, green apple, lemon, lime, green melon, light butter, wood shavings, buttered popcorn, yellow & white florals. On the palate, green apple, lemon, lime, grapefruit, citrus blossoms, gentle, soft minerals with brilliant acidity. Photos of the amazing view from the Carrick terrace and grapes just delivered and waiting to be destined and pressed. We've been fortunate to many of the worlds wine regions and Central Otago is certainly one of the most majestic and beautifully scenic regions we've visited. — 7 years ago
Solid Central Otago Pinot. Perfect balance of tannins, fruits, and oak flavour. A surprising delight. — 8 years ago
Well this was absolutely amazing. Aged well and front front to back it had all the hall marks off a top class Pinot. It was hard to fault this wine and vintage. — 8 years ago
Very good riesling. Petrolium and swetness. Pear, mango. — 9 years ago
This is the 2009. Red fruit, cola, spice, balanced-leaning-towards-bright acidity. Something smoky leads to a long and pleasant finish. Very pretty nose. This is a rare case where the wine actually seems better at home than it did at the winery. Loving this. — 9 years ago
I want to love this beer based on its name Killarabbit, label, and the description of how it is made. In the end, it does not have any of the hoppy bitterness to be described as a double ipa, but instead is malty, yeasty, and has a complex sweetness (but no sourness) as a result of the Pinot noir barrel aging and bottle conditioning. — 9 years ago
Smooth, medium bodied, no oak, nice flavours. — 10 years ago
Elegant, smooth, not to be turned away! — 10 years ago
Well done! — 10 years ago
Wild tropical fruits, white flowers-jasmine burst out of the glass. On the palate; tropicals of melon balls, citrus, citrus blossoms, white peach, light, delicate, beautiful minerality, fresh bright acidity and a lean rich finish. Photos of a wide view of their terrace and great view. — 7 years ago
Love this wine! Wish I could find it in the US. — 8 years ago
Great smooth taste low acidity. — 8 years ago
Visited this winery while on a trip to New Zealand, brought this back with me. Amazing flavors. — 9 years ago

Less expressive on the nose than their Bannockburn Pinot Noir. However, the fruits on the nose; black raspberries, raspberries, dark cherries, blackberries, poached strawberries, light loamy soils with red roses. On the palate; ripe & beautiful; blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, cherries, firmer sticky tannins, anise, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, beautiful soft spices, amazing fragrant fresh red florals, rich body with perfect mellow acidity. The finish is; flat out sexy elegance. These wines were the best we had in New Zealand. They are well crafted wines with beauty, elegance, excellent texture and precision. Not only are their wines amazing, look at that view. It's like a painting. The other photo shows their beautiful low yield Pinot Noir grapes. — 7 years ago
