Loud, funky, unfiltered, exceptional orange from one of the masters. Reminded me of Radikon. Pricey, but worth a try. — 6 years ago
Not for everyone but I am a fan. Ribolla Gialla from Radikon. — 8 years ago
Skin-fermented old vine Pinot Grigio. Beautiful color that I would describe as a blood orange wine rather than an orange wine. Very interesting and enjoyable, but obviously showing very young at this point. According to Abe's notes, Steverjan is the Slovenian name for the village of Collio, the home of Radikon and Gravner. — 8 years ago

Hard to find this one; my brother in Oregon snagged a bottle. Dedicated to Stanko Radikon and his son Sasa, who pioneered the extended skin contact production of “orange wines”. This is a red wine made with 100% Pinot Gris (Pinot Grigio). Purple red, yet very good clarity; reminds me of the look of cranberry juice, but a tad darker in hue. Spice, leather and cherry-prune notes in nose. Fruit leather, prune flavors, initially, moderate fine-grained skin tannin astringency, a floral-prune aftertaste that is most like a traditional Pinot Gris white wine. Later, vegetal (black olive?) flavors emerge. Mind-blowingly different. Took me a while to decide how much I liked it. I never anticipated an orange wine could be pushed to this extreme, especially with this varietal - boom! After 90 minutes, tannins smooth out and you get a soft fruity light red with subtle flavors. Fresh, complex, well-made and conceived — 6 years ago
Great orange wine from Kakheti. Punget nose with High VA-Luke Radikon — 8 years ago
Radikon: 'I make my whites like reds, so you also drink them as reds.' Sweet tannins, spices and even some fruity notes. Loooong skin maceration (30+ days). Maverick wine. Very unusual. 2001 was the last vintage Radikon used a little sulfite, from 2002 onwards he stopped using it. — 9 years ago
One of my favorite producers, only radikon, princic etc do this stuff better. — 9 years ago
The best orange wine I've had in a while, and perhaps one of the best I've ever had in this price range-- gives the radikon entry levels a good run for the money. Apricot marmelade, wet stones, white flowers, dried papaya, and juicy clementines. — 10 years ago
