Perfect balance with the fines herbes coming through. Hint of sweetness for sure but would never describe as off dry. Complete wine. Very precise. Delicious. — 6 years ago
Absolutely gorgeous mineral core that smells like a fresh spring creek and sour fruit skins, and tastes like a gorgeous distillation of underripe orchard fruit, flowers, and wet stones. Crisp, refreshing, complex, and wonderful. — 7 years ago
This was very nice - a little sweeter than I might usually prefer, but it was smooth and crisp. Definitely a nice sipper with girlfriends. — 7 years ago

Vintage 2007 - Beautiful riesling. Awesome balance with prominent acidity that gives a very vibrant touch to (mild) sweetness. First I smelled nothing, the wine needs air before it gives impressions of minerals/stones, a bit honey and apricot. I simply cannot imagine someone not liking this wine. Great effort! Still too young. — 5 years ago

This Scheidt is great! Thank you Florian! — 11 years ago
On good form. Golden in colour though still very light for it's age - there was something almost buttery over the way the wine behaved in the glass; nose of honey blossom and apricot flower, with hints of orange peel and fresh hay; rounded and complete, though with slightly low acidity for my taste, particularly for a Saar of this vintage. Tiring a little but it still has a long way to go - like an autumn leaf that has just started turning colour but has a full few months of aged tranquility before it drops of the tree. — 7 years ago
So much minerality & acidity which is perfectly balanced by the fully ripe apricot, honey & orange blossom notes. It's complex, elegant & super yummy!!! — 7 years ago

Deied apricot, minerality, earth, clean mineral, petrol/kerosene, little chews/lactic. Nice acid, clean, mineral like on palate, thru finish. Excellent. — 10 years ago

My first Lauer GG, this is everything I love about his wines compacted like a crushed car into something so dense as to be almost unknowable. Would be curious to know how these drink decades beyond. — 5 years ago
