I got some tar& eucalyptus in nose. A bit of smoke. It has layers and depth and complexity which surprised me at first. But I do like that dark Rutherford fruit. The time in French oak really mellows this wine. Very enjoyable. Buy it if you find it. — 8 years ago

Assertive, plump and juicy Avalon Plum on the tongue , complimented by subtle green peppercorn spice and dust bowl Rutherford tannins on the closing attack, with surprising whimsically bright tannins. So darn delicious with fantastic transparency of flavor.
