Black cherry compote, graphite, toffee & earthy spice notes. Something i can’t put my finger in that’s inbetween mint or eucalyptus clippings that were picked from the garden where you can still smell the soil. fine-grained tannins, heady acidity, and apologetically full-bodied. Someone seriously knows what they’re doing here — best syrah i’ve had all year by miles. — 5 years ago

Delayed getting out of Austin toThe Keys and found this bottle at Vino Volo. Thanks @Jim Trobaugh @Mike R for the review which prompted me to buy! — 8 years ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe fruits, with toasty cedar and sweet baking spice notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with licorice and cacao adding in oak and leather. Well balanced with acidity, big smooth ripe tannins, long finish ending with oak and creamy vanilla spice. Has room to age. Nice! — 5 years ago
2012 vintage bought at the winery. Deep rich purple colour. Big black fruit aromas with kirsch, cardomann and black pepper. This is a smooth wine. Spicy ripe blackberry and cherry, baker’s spice and vanilla. Medium acidity and tannins, I wish it had more lift at the finish. Don’t get me wrong, this is a nice wine. — 5 years ago
Nice!!! Actually 12.9% ABV...they label everything 14.8%. — 7 years ago
Love this wine. Had with snapper device type dish at lenoir restaurant in austin. Crisp. Pear flavor. Light but not too light. Tom said this is a really food wine. 13 per glass 52 per bottle — 8 years ago
Warm and friendly and full of life. Balanced BlackBerry, and lasting mouth, like a hug from your papa — 4 years ago
Good, but too expensive for what it is. Austin Hope is just as good and it’s $39 less. — 5 years ago
Very smooth blend. Not too acidic. Not sweet. — 5 years ago
Austin East Ciders in Blood Orange. Cider is dry but the orange is subtle enough to balance it out nicely. — 6 years ago
One of the best cabs I've ever had....

Smelled of deep, rich herbal earth. Like a warm summer afternoon hiking in the foothills of Appalachia. The taste was so starkly different to be unrecognizable. Butter, like a steak basted in butter. Fruit was an afterthought, but the entire thing was still big and bold and tricks your senses. Like dating a red headed girl. — 8 years ago

A Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah (GSM) that delights with flavors of plum, dark berries and oak.
This wine is a satisfying complement to any special evening, ordinary or extraordinary.
What a terrific blend.
