Very easy. Not too strong or complex, but nice. And there are tannins. Hints of red fruit. — 11 years ago

1955. One of the best wines I've ever tasted. This is the 1955 vintage, so only my mom and dad are older than this wine, and it was everything I dreamed it would be. The nose was like the dead pine needles you step on in Vermont in the summer. I would wear this wine like cologne. Despite being 60 years old, it still had some tannins left in it, and it actually got better the longer it was open. I feel privileged to be in the same space this wine was opened.

So good. Lovely subtle oak spice with big blackberry coulis fruit and spices on the nose. Huge depth on the nose. You could swim in the layers. Palate is so ripe, so rich and so dense with dazzling purity and freshness. Wow. This is just incredible. So fresh yet so opulent and deep. That’s what the best 15’s have to offer. Spectacular. — 6 years ago

Young and lean, this presents the classic aromas and flavors you expect. Earth and mineral driven with slightly underripe red and black fruit and veggies. A wine that only works well with a meal. — 4 years ago
