Wow, this blew me away. I'm not usually a white wine drinker, but this could totally change me. THE wine for grains. This was amazing with brown rice and barley topped with curried butternut squash and apple bisque and roasted chickpeas in tandoori spices. And extremely drinkable on its own, too. One of the two single-vineyard Leda wines, together with Vinha da Ribeira, made only in 2004. Lush with indistinguishable Ferreirinha aromas and very smooth tannins, the wine, maybe due to the vineyards' southern exposure, has started to become slightly inky and tired.
