Really looking forward to seeing how this CDP opens up. On the nose plenty of funk, yes, but as it blows off there are hints of black soil, mushrooms, dust, red fruit, and a slight floral aroma with potpourri and cedar that is beginning to rear its head. On the palate it's quite tight, but as time passes away so will the astringency. Rating will definitely increase as time goes on. EDIT- Day 2 and this wine is on point! Upgraded from 8.7 to 9.0. — 9 years ago

Absolutely amazing. Lots of good brett. Balanced and delicious. Great dark fruit aromas and flavors. So smooth. Medium high tannins and acidity. Perfect silky texture. A little funk on the nose and palate (positive). Aroma and flavors are out of this world. Leather bag full of cherries and raspberries. Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carmenere. Complex. Clear deep purple colour with watery rim. Clean medium intensity aroma with minty black cherry and black currant with hint of oak smokiness and vanilla. Dry on the palate full bodied medium alcohol with medium acidity and high but smooth velvety tannin. Flavours of earthy black currant, black cherry, and vanilla. Flavours last through into its long pleasant finish. Very good quality, drink now but can age for another 3 to 5 years for a even more balanced complexity. — 12 years ago
