Very drinkable, and a smidge on the sweeter side. Dad seems to like it. Really good comparison to Apothic Red. — 5 years ago
Very good alternative to the Apothic standbye. Less sweet! $8 from TJ's. — 7 years ago
Someone else said this was comparable to Apothic...I agree. If you like Apothic, you'll like this. — 7 years ago
I loved this! Had it on Xmas Eve 2015. Opened a bottle of Apothic Red after and found it to be too sweet. — 8 years ago
Very nice pinotage very similar to Apothic from California — 4 years ago
It is only $5 so let it air out a bit before making up your mind. Tastes like my beloved Apothic Dark, but at a fraction of the cost. Trader Joe does everything right, especially this wine. Easy to accidentally drink the whole bottle, but I definitely wouldn’t know that. I’m getting hints of berry, chocolate, and a little bit of battery acid (like I said, it’s $5) — 5 years ago
A little reminiscent of Apothic Inferno (which is a good thing) — 6 years ago
Good blend. Much better than the Apothic. — 7 years ago
Lovely subtle nose. Honey, honeydew, rose, cherry, white peach. Medium body. Off dry. Light acid. Light linger. What you want from a Rose in the summer. Would be overpowered by many dishes - best to drink alone 😉 — 7 years ago
I love this blend. The obvious comparison would be Apothic Dark, but It is not as dark or heavy as Apothic yet even though I love a heavy full bodied wine this wine has a perfect blend of light and dark. It is much easier to drink than Apothic Dark without loosing the good flavor. Because it's a blend I can't put my finger on the exact tones of this wine but it feels quite neutral with an easy finish — 8 years ago
Très bon, dans la lignée des apothic Red et ménage à trois. Fort goût d'alcool. — 9 years ago
A nice dry red blend with notes of coffee! A unique taste that leaves the palate satisfied! — 5 years ago
Elegant and complex - this wine feels like the girl you want to fall in love with, who you hope loves you back. The sweet, youthful berry is met with earthiness that is deep, and red, but not quite tar - clay maybe, tobacco notes too, Rose and potpourri... This is a bottle of wine that will twist the neck of a new world 'Apothic' wine drinker right around to ponder what sort of 'dried flower petal turned liquid' you brought to the dinner. Dainty, dignified, and deep. — 6 years ago
Well balanced and fruity. Reminds me of Apothic. Tasted at Taste of Hudson. — 7 years ago
Like it,full.reminds me of apothic dark — 7 years ago
I thought this wine was much better than any of the Apothic wines. I ended up purchasing 4 bottles. It is sold out at my local stores now but hope to find it again. — 7 years ago
So love this wine, it is such easy easy drinking, had this last night with cheese after salmon and green beans, and again tonight with flank steak seasoned with garlic, thyme and red wine (apothic red) and avocado pasta. Delicious every time!! — 8 years ago
Is nice, like an expensive Apothic Red. — 9 years ago
