Distinctive wine - amping up the cab franc pyrazinesand herbacousness, with new world fruit, all in a restrained manner. Notes of clean rasberry, graphite, bell pepper, and a very distinctive tomato note and a hint of bitter cacao. Really clean, transparent on the palate with refreshing acidity. An unlikely and incredible pairing to fresh red pasta sauce — 10 years ago
Light and refreshing, pear, apple, lemon peel, a bit cheesy note at the end. Clean and neat. — 10 years ago
Wild style. A lot of herbs, black cherry, wet leather, earth and a hint of brett. A bit thin on the palate, missing the tension. — 11 years ago
Smooth and crisp. Had some time on the lees. Apple and pear with some grapefruit followed by some relaxed yeasty notes. Great dinner party starter. Acid and citrus notes take it to the next level. — 11 years ago

A wine from Anthony that's finally ready. Just kidding. It's the volatile acidity holding this wine together. Completely resolved tannins. Ripe lean; blackberries, dark cherries, blueberries. It's almost all fruit with just a hint of earth and minerality. Fun to drink. I always like to ask, what were you doing in 1978? Nice of Lilian Barton to model the bottle for my photo. Thank you for bringing this wine. A real treat to try. — 9 years ago
