a brief romance a year or so ago with 96 Cuvée Angeline and I was hooked on Lassalle. 2012 Special Club recently was way too young and it was recommended I try 2008. It tastes younger than 2012.

A faceful of citrus, it’s a very brash wine that hasn’t even reached adolescence. The fruit is clean and bright, the wine complex and long, but put it away for a decade. — 3 years ago

It was a 1996 Cuvée Angeline that turned my head a year ago, then a 2008. This is my first Lassalle blanc de blanc 2008 and it’s flat out gorgeous. Super citrus nose is followed by a creamy almost sweet mid palate, a thick layered wine that has little weight and just dances on the palate. It is really clean and full of finesse, acidity present but not obtrusive, just covered by the pretty fruit. This is really good, even elegant. — 4 years ago
