2021 vintage. The brand name refers to the first 100% Alvarinho vineyard planted by Soalheiro in 1974. Today, it is still made from over 30 years old vines, fermented mainly in stainless steel, with 15% in used oak barrels. White peach and pineapple, intertwined with a distinctive minerality. Crisp and juicy with an exemplary purity of fruit, brilliant acidity and a very long mineral finish. Abv. 12,5%. Terrific value too. Highly recommended. — a year ago

Crisp and saline. This screams of summer - the vinous equivalent of a margarita. #sommcon — 6 years ago
Excellent and cheap green wine. — 10 months ago
Once again this is vinho Verde at its very best. Pear, cantaloupe, chalk. There's that mineral thing on the nose that tells you it's going to be great 😊 the palate is very well made with a great acid backbone, a good width and mouthfeel, some pear and slightly lemony notes, before a long and fresh finish that goes on for a while. Why is everyone overlooking Vinho Verde? — 2 years ago
Super soft and refreshing. Notes of guava. Good harmonization with fish and seafood. — 4 years ago

A cloudy pale yellow/green. Melon and lime. Very pleasing. — 6 years ago
Deep brassy gold color. Nose has loads of yellow fruits and stony minerals (It’s a blend of 40% Antao Vaz, 30% Arinto, and 20% Alvariho grapes). Meadow flowers and a teensy bit of toastiness. In the mouth it’s ripe and deeply flavored, the fruit very low-toned. Tons of stony minerals. The texture is soft and broad. Acids are low-ish. Nice, lengthy finish. I don’t think this will age, but it’s really nice now. — 9 months ago
You cannot go wrong with this wine. Albariño goodness, Full bodied and complex with aromas reminiscent of apricots, peaches and citrus fruits and a striking mineral finish. Unlike Vinho Verde’s other wines.... goes with anything and everyone ... — 4 years ago
2017. Crisp acidity and big fruit flavors. Should go great with falafel and chicken souvlaki. — 4 years ago
Really amazing paired with seafood (think scallops and clams), but skippable otherwise. On the sweeter side, with a little funkiness to it. — 6 years ago

Visiting Lisbon for the first time and asked for a distinctly local wine, and this is what the gentleman suggested. Lovely, crisp and clean, like a Chardonnay, without the oak. Green apple, lemon, and happiness! So glad we had a chance to try a taste of beautiful Portugal! — 8 months ago
