A fantastic champagne that we picked up during a visit to Reims last week. Great depth of flavor, an elegant palate comes across with flavors of dried apricots, hints of candied lemon, and that tell-tale bready yeast character that can only come from Champagne. A great start to a celebration of Vanessa’s promotion to Full Professor at Albion College! — 6 years ago

2009 Sauvignon Blanc. The Mondavi 'I Block' (old vine to kalon) was superb and got more focused with time. The Lail Georgia was tropical from start to finish, with almost too much pineapple fruit and coconut (oak). Bias included, the 09 Albion was exceptional and cleared the flight save the slightly flabby nose. Freshness reigned supreme, particularly at 6 years young. — 11 years ago
Now starting to show secondary aging notes. Still a wow wine. Enjoyed for Thanksgiving dinner (BYO) at Albion River Inn. Went with filet mignon instead of the turkey platter and it was a heavenly match. Great week of vacation at the Sea Ranch with wines of significance. — 8 years ago
Exceptionally well balanced--nice acid that isn't overwhelming. Floral, perfumed nose with lemon curd and star anise. — 9 years ago
