Panek Vineyard is situated in St. Helena on the east side of Highway 29 just north of Turley Winery, adjacent to Aida Vineyard, and about 3 miles up Highway 29 from where I’m situated this evening... making it all the more special... The 2010 from Rivers-Marie is straight fire, sporting a plum red velvet smoking jacket, and a potent perfume of spicy Mexican cocoa powder. Stunning. — 8 years ago

Nice smooth zin. Lots of leather and tobacco on the nose which seems to come with these wines with a fair amount of age in them. I prefer the fresher and jammy zins of more current vintages but a very nice wine. Worth having again but did not think it was worth the $65 price tag at store. 1994 vintage in April 2016. — 10 years ago

A very nice Oakvillle (Napa) Cab from a producer I was not familiar with - 1997 vintage, found at auction. Def one of those, ‘don’t judge a wine by its label’ — 5 years ago
