Beautiful entry level from Bertram.
This wine is full of red fruits, a bit earthy and some spices.
Good concentration but also really elegant.
High acidity balanced by al the fruits.
Medium finish. One of the best PQR's in the Ahr — 8 years ago

"Sunny mountain." From the lower Ahr with a high proportion of loess giving an easygoing charm. The barrique really stands out against the slender frame of the wine, giving lots of cedar and spice. Hopefully that will integrate better with time. — 9 years ago
Nice acidity. Best when allowed to warm up. — 10 years ago

Tasted this blind (forgot it was in my cellar). Thought it was BC or NZ! Oh well. Bright hard candy cherry core. 2009 vintage. — 12 years ago

Starker Eindruck von Feuerwerk / Feuerstein, extraktreich, dicke Nasen, fruchtig, Kirsche, Säure, herb, leicht bitter. Würde ich gern älter kennenlernen! — 9 years ago
This wine will set you down in the middle of a candle lit heurigen, listening to a waltz whist surrounded by the Austrian Alps of the summer season. — 9 years ago
Superb Pinot noir. Expensive but this is worth it. Juicy red fruits, balance and some power. Wow. — 10 years ago
점잖게 heavy하면서 시원한 느낌 — 10 years ago

Refreshing, off dry white with just the right touch of fizz. Best $13 value in several months. Nicer on day 1 chilled. — 11 years ago
Специи, вишневая косточка, чуть шершавые танины, питкость появляется на второй день. Понравилось. Почти 15 баллов — 12 years ago

Finally! A German Pinot Noir worth listening to (I live in Berlin and spent some time looking for the serious German red wine that the world is going on about, while loving Mosel whites). So here we go. Nose of violets and perfume. Some tannins. The finish is long although it seems to consist of astringency and no aromas. — 11 years ago
Floral nose. Smooth, lightly sweet — 12 years ago
