Beautiful vintage Krug, but clearly still very young (which is slightly nuts). Bubbles are quite fine but still very present. Yeasty and mouth filling - there is real power here. The palate is concentrated and powerful with a silky texture and incredible length. 95 is nowhere near its peak. Many more years to go. Aroma has a touch of diacetyl but it's light enough to be pleasant. Loads of currant and with a heavy cocoa, tobacco, and slate finishing note. Drinks surprisingly light for as dark and heavy as it smells. Very fruity with a lot of acid but a tannic finish that quenches the acid. Very nice wine. — 6 months ago

1973: Beautiful bottle. Wines like this make everyone stop and take notice. The color was clear and light. Arresting nose full of plums and roasted beets.
