Fabulous wine from Page (most are). Dusty, dark, tannic throughout. Currant & cocoa are lovely. Would pair wonderfully with a juicy steak, Gorgonzola mushrooms or an onion dip. Great to sip on its own or have with any number of meals. — 11 years ago

Dark ruby in color with a purple rim.

Typical Napa on the nose with vanilla, oak, blackberries, blueberries, figs and black pepper.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries and peppercorn.

Medium to full bodied.
Medium plus finish with firm, structured tannins.

This one threw me for a loop. Not typical Napa at all. Very Loire Cab Franc. Haven't had any Freemarks this recent, but if this is a new more restrained style (and they've already managed to stay rather old-school) I'm totally on board. — 11 years ago
