Secateurs Shiraz Blend

The blending of a magical Shiraz along with the Cinsault and Grenache is a perfect symphony that harmonizes the floral bouquets along with some zestful spices. — 5 years ago

Caperitif

I love this aperitif with seltzer or to add a touch of bitterness to the occasional white wine spritzer. An old family recipe with a bunch of herbs and aromatics. The label is shown under a different name on the app, but Badenhorst is where it’s at-if you haven’t tried their Chenin, you are missing out. — 6 years ago

Secateurs Swartlandse Shiraz Blend 2018

Barnyard wafts!

Deliciously light for the varietals, ripe seeded berries, tarragon, Thai basil.
Citrus acidity, and feathery tannins.
Really quite enjoyable, never been disappointed by this winery, and every vintage gets better reflection .

Ramnasgras Swartland Cinsault 2017

Dried currants, roses, orange peel, nutty quality, date, strawberry fruit leather, very lifted, complex, great body, great acidity, nice length, awesome with smoked meats/braai, jammy (strawberry jam), food friendly but gulpable on its own, flinty/smoky edge (slight tarriness), reminiscent of Barbaresco, really enjoyable, 13% — 5 years ago

17/20 (92/100) Фруктовый аромат с нотами красной сливы, ежевики, черешни с пряным оттенком. Тельное, умеренная кислотность, бархатистые танины. Отличный баланс. — 6 years ago

Amador County Chenin Blanc 2013

Waxy, strawberries, litchi, licorice, stony minerals, almost salty, this has punch and width, and provides an amazing texture on the length, complex and mineral-lazed finish. Gorgeous and for me one of the top examples of this variety made in the New a World. A.A. Badenhorst feeling! — 10 years ago

This probably strikes old/new world balance as well as anything around. Has all that acidic vibrancy, but delicious fleshy fruit.
