Nicely made NV grower champs. On the nose, yeasty and toasty apples, pears, lees. In the mouth, buttered toast and grilled apples. Great acidity. Good length. Perfect for painting and drinking on a Sunday. Disgorged Nov 2015. — 9 years ago
Still lively. All the components I like in an older bubbly - some underlying fruit but also a richness provided by secondary notes of roasted nuts, butter, and toffee. Wonderful! — 9 years ago
This wine packs a punch! Pungent upon smell and going down, but man oh man do I love it. Sweaty socks is right. I don't usually go for a gamay, but this ones my jam. — 10 years ago
Champagne more on the elegant if lighter style. Nice light citrusy notes, plenty of fruit - especially at mid-palate, where toasty flavors blend in nicely. Fruit falls off through the finish, but there's still a nice long aftertaste. — 10 years ago
Fresh tarmac and cooked berry on the nose. Very focused grenache. This wine makes me aware of Monterey's potential. Very good but I'm not sure I'd pay $48 a bottle for it. — 8 years ago
Delicious! Doesn't get much better for a wine under $10 — 9 years ago
Blanc de blanc- linear - trace of toast — 9 years ago
The dryness, tannins & acidity of this wine paired well with braised short ribs. The ribs were accompanied by polenta & salad with Meyer Lemon vinaigrette. Very important pairing note - balancing acidity to cut richness but still give a pleasant mouth - feel. 2006 vintage - Floral notes weren't dominant for us. — 9 years ago
In a word, the 2009 vintage AR Lenoble Blanc de Noir is stunning. 100% pinot noir from the 1er Cru village of Bisseuil, 28% of which was aged in wood. This gives the wine an appealingly spice character and lusciously round body. The wine remains elegant and supple without a trace of heaviness. Baked apple, crisp acidity and vibrant berry fruit fill out the palate impression. Delicious. — 10 years ago

Pretty darn good. Not sure how it's "intense" but I'll happily have another glass. Or bottle. — 8 years ago
