2013 Juel Antiquum Farm Pinot Noir. Just completely amazing and complex and multifaceted. So much going on. Rich, vibrant aromas. Lively and rich and balanced on palate - fruity, good acidity on front end; mild silky middle; revving back up to a full blown gorgeous finish. Mind = blown. 225 cases produced. In the Trappist scene . . . This is right up my alley. Doesn't have the cloying sensation of the "other" end of the spectrum in the genre. Love it. Also, I would like to add that this has a very BFM root 225 - esque bitterness. Refreshing, elegant and tied for first with BFM. — 10 years ago

A blend of 25 to 30 different grape varieties, old vineyards, with an average age of plus 70 years. 16 months in 225 litres barrels (85% French oak and 15% American oak). Deep ruby colour, the nose has aromas of black cherry, black plum, vanilla, and chocolate and then licorice. In the mouth, back notes of cherry, medium to full-bodied, quite alcoholic, soft tannins, moderate acidity, long finish, balanced.
