First of 12 bottles from HDH. Good nose slightly thin on the palate, a lot of iron — 7 years ago
Nice, but over the hill. Rust and tomato to go with plum sweetness. — 10 years ago
Gloriously acidic visitor to our coravin session last evening. Thought it might be a bit flabby (going by the reviews) but everything was in perfect balance. Incredibly Fragrant; a virulent golden yellow; full of nectarines and hints of other tropical fruits. It developed into one of the great timeless wines that facilitate a tendrilled connection between everyone with a glass in their hand. — 10 years ago

While I'm not a big champagne drinker, this stuff is amazing!! Buttered Biskets, slightly oxidized and rich. One of my favorites! — 13 years ago

From 6L. Unbelievable. A classic, stunning Bordeaux — 8 years ago
Released in 2013. This is still so young and forward, I can barely understand. Sure, I suppose there was development here, but I keep chasing these wines backwards in time, and they never seem to reach that place that my vinous instincts suggest they're headed. I mean, this was really tasty - maybe my expectations are the problem... — 9 years ago

Friend brought this 32 year old wine we have celebrated with them for many years. Decanted and drank with t day dinner. Remarkable longevity with good structure and color. Impressive. — 10 years ago

Outstanding in 2015. — 10 years ago
This is what aged port should taste like. Velvety black fruit. Vanilla. Full mouthfeel and long finish. Not over the hill one bit. A real treat. — 11 years ago
Delicious wine well balanced. Drinking like an aged first growth Bordeaux — 11 years ago
Glorious! Drinking as well as many '82s at a fraction of the price. — 11 years ago

Reddish tawny. Youthful nose. Notes of black currants, blackberries, herbs and spices and some menthol. Silky in the mouth, although at first it comes off as delicate. With more air, some spice and white pepper notes develop, and this goes full on Chave and Hermitage power on you... Not bad for Syrah that's pushing 40 years in age! — 5 years ago
