Dark oaky, chocolate, cherry. Amazing for a dark flavorful merlot which i am usually not a fan of chocolate flavors. This one is very smooth and easy to drink, no sweetness is a plus! Definitely recommend especially for the price! — 3 years ago
Yes! A great representation of what can become of gamay from a Cru village wine. The typical esters are there on the nose but the overall fruit and some darker tertiary flavours are present. A bit light on the palate despite the 14% but this is made up for by the long delicate spicy-flowery finish. — 4 years ago
Full Strawberry nose with white pepper. Taste juicy red berry front settles down to a wash blueberry. Then at back of mouth intensity starts with flavour of roasted red peppers done over oak coals and finish cleanse of eucalyptus.🍷 — 5 years ago
I feel that this is probably the best Pinot Noir producer out of the finger lakes although the competition is finally a good one. The nose has a wonderful aroma of currant a plum with undertones of spice including nutmeg and mulling spices. The palate is gorgeously light and elegant but still somewhat juicy at the same time. Flavors of plum, sour cherry and baking spice along with wonderfully balance acidity. The finish is soft and elegant with juicy fruit notes of lingering acidity. Wow... a great pairing for roasted pork. — 6 years ago
Picked up this bottle at the winery when we met Cody Wright (Ken Wrights son). Boutique winery. Amazing. Drank well after 8 years. Would not let much longer. I could not wait anyway. — 2 years ago
One of my favorite reistlings! Smooth and not too sweet, when I open a bottle I tend to drink the whole bottle! — 3 years ago

In Dublin hotel dinner brought by Hsing. Well made new world Aussie Shiraz with fruity well balanced nose of red fruits and cherry. Silky smooth texture for this style and long finish. — 5 years ago
From magnum. Lush and rich, this is undeniably delicious. With a relatively restrained nose and soft yet supple tannins, this 16’ has a bit more elegance than the 14’ and the 15’ I tasted. — 6 years ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Merlot (15%). Deep ruby color. Dark fruit aromas and flavors (blackberry and plum) with hints of violets and pepper spice. Touch of dark chocolate on the rich finish. Medium bodied and round. Fruit forward and plush. — 10 months ago
As the summer is slipping out of our hands, its time to to pop those complex reds that we’ve been lastning for. Produttori del Barbaresco is considered one of the best cooperatives in the world and its 2016 Barbaresco is a solid proof of that statement.
Restrained at first and needs a couple of hours in the decanter to reach its climax. True to its provenance its clasically crafted, and puts up complex profile of red cherries, rose hip, strawberries, spice, bitter orange and a volatile dried floral lift over a canvas of wet soil.
An offensive approach on the palate with a high acidity and a generous portion of mouth coating tannins that is well accompanied by a pronounced fruit profile with an evolving finish. Very good indeed, but is a couple of level behind to reach the higher tiers. — 4 years ago
Not too sweet, nice slightly dry finish. — 4 years ago
Tonight’s nightcap 🥃
During our stay at the hospital for the birth of our son some dear friends of ours brought my wife & I a care package. In it were all manner of goodies and treats, as well as a bottle of champagne and this scotch. They know us all too well 🤫🤷🏻♂️
.
Caramel, creme brûlée, charred orange peels, and Christmas spice cake on the nose. Mild notes of moss on the palate with a pronounced but welcome warmth on the way down. Smooth and perfectly suitable for ending the day with. — 5 years ago
