Great weight, full GV with plenty of secondaries balanced by juicy fruits. Orange peel, peach, talcum, white pepper, flour, rocks. Finish just lingers around enticing another sip. Fun! — 9 years ago
I was skeptical at first...inky black and 15.3 ABV, but the wine is well balanced with plenty of freshness and lift. Just the ticket with tonight's daube de boeuf. — 10 years ago
Smells of cherry oak and some light tobacco. Very full bodied with some port notes actually and smooth finish. Somewhat acidic and would do well with food. — 10 years ago

Rye spice makes for a good Manhattan. — 8 years ago
Held up very well for a 30 year old wine. Took about 1-2 hours to really open up and hit its peak. Finished by hour 3 as it seemed to tail off. Very cool drinking a Lafite. — 10 years ago
Amazing how this white, mostly Viognier and Marsanne, is completely dominated automatically and on the palate by the 13% Petit Manseng. — 10 years ago
Great, inexpensive wine — 12 years ago
Without a doubt the wine of my life. Elegant, dried cranberries, cigar box, beechnut tobacco, great texture. A truly magnificent bottle. 1/100 that would be perfect. — 8 years ago
Great all around red. Very dependable. — 9 years ago
