We both thoroughly enjoyed this Rioja. Make sure to give this wine time to open. This is a medium-heavy bodied wine that is smooth with a bit of texture. Notes of cherry, blackberry, and plum are followed by earthy herbs, tobacco, and licorice. The finish is not very long, but overall a great wine. This was the first Shiraz we reviewed and we will definitely be sampling Shiraz more often as we really enjoyed this bottle. This wine opens with notes of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, with notes of black pepper on the backend. Chris felt the finish wasn't very long, but I thought there was a nice long finish. This wine is very dry. The tannins are very heavy. Read our full review here: http://wp.me/p5EPbt-6m — 11 years ago

We enjoyed this wine, but were not super impressed. Chris caught notes of apple that he felt were quickly overpowered by pepper, blackberry, and currant. I tasted tart apples with plum and oak on the back end. The tannins are very mellow, which was nice. See our full review here: http://goo.gl/Mc2nvs — 11 years ago
