Deep and spicy. Smooth with long finish. — 8 years ago
Found this in the cellar 12 years too late. Thought I would open it anyways just to see. Surprise! This 13 year-old Moscato d’Asti was surprisingly still vibrant though moving into a more stewed or cooked fruit. Only 5% ABV, I was surprised it was not completely spoiled. Really sweet and unbelievably still fruity. — a day ago

2010 now tawny in color. Very dry with secondary aromas of oak, nuts, some earth, but maintaining a good degree of dark fruits. Paired with homemade brick oven pizza. True Tuscan gem here. Strong but smooth tannins match the pepperoni and peppers. — a month ago
Right up my alley. — 6 years ago
Very smooth up front with mellow tannin. Has a good acid to it giving it some mid palate bite. Medium finish with dark fruit lingering. Not much to the nose of this. But easy to drink. — 8 years ago

My first Amarone was this 2006. 20 years age might just be the sweet spot. Deep, dark, inky garnet with fig, prune, raisin on the nose. Smooth texture, ripe tannins, more dark fruit on the pallet leaning into tertiary notes. Shared in my wine class how the Appassimento method is used to dry the grapes, concentrating the flavors prior to fermentation. This was a treat for all of us. — a day ago
