Paired with tagliata di manzo in a small Italian restaurant in Abruzzo, and it paired well! The plums are well present in this wine, medium bodied and it has a nice, herby finish. Soft tannines. Table mate had pizza and thought it combined well too. — 10 years ago
At 4 years, this wine has just entered its prime. Almost port-like nose with dried dates, and a prickling amount of alcohol. Roundness on the tongue is indulging, yet the aftertaste is somewhat challenging. Sourness at first but is quiets down and leaves a long lasting taste of smoked wood. — 10 years ago
