Transparent dark garnet. Cranberry, black cherry, and red apple on the inviting nose and medium palate which adds a slight leathery note. Medium plus acidity and medium tannins from entry to the lengthy, slightly dark finish. Croatian powerhouse Plavac Mali is an offspring of Tribidrag -- better known in these parts as Zinfandel -- and any place you'd take that variety will be home for PM. Since it's an Old World wine, it's light enough to take the place of Pinot Noir in many situations. Drink now through 2027.
