Yarra Yering
Underhill Shiraz
Initially reductive with aromas of H2S which blew off. Vegetal stalky notes with red fruits. A medium weight palate with a little raspberry and those whole bunch stalky notes. Needed a little more mid palate fruit. In the elegant style - I have had better examples of Underhill. Had another bottle 90 weeks later on 20th January 2023 with similar notes. Vegetal notes not to be confused with H2S. More savoury, spicy than fruit driven. More Rhone than Barossa.

Jun 28th, 2015More approachable then Dry Red No.1 or No.2. Medium Bodied, succulent cool climate Shiraz. Silky, structured and elegant. Doesn't lack fruit flavour - red fruits blossom in your mouth. YY is the bomb! 93+ points.
