Scent of black currant (think Pastilles), spicy like a Mediterranean salad.
Really slick rapid swirl, tears close together and heavily sticking. Swirl appears to stick to the glass like bubble wrap. Viciously viscous. Black ochre appearance, dark through & through. Old Gold Chocolatey on first sip, beautiful first impression. Taste immediately slackens and dries out (tannins?) leaving a dragging acidic sensation. Ends poorly.
