Stunning. Just had the 2016 and wanted to try 2015 soon thereafter. Soaring nose of spices, deep cherry and mineral. A huge almost NSG like perfume. Gorgeous sour cherry as well. Insanely fragrant. Exotic spices. Hoisin. Really profound. Amazing sap and sweetness on the palate with and almost painful fruit intensity. So refined. Also powerful, dense and explosive but also exhibiting terrific spine and tension. Epically long finish. Almost creamy texture after some air. What sweetness. This is amazing. A baby but will age for 15+’years. Likely needs 3-4.

This is drinking so well now. Nose is stunning and floral. Spices galore. Amazing cherries and Xmas spice. Gingerbread. Lovely limestone background. Beautiful mid season cherries. Super sweet cherry fruit and velvety tannins. So tangy and concentrated. Amazingly pure. Before 2018/2019 this was the benchmark Thorle Pinot and nice to see it’s drinking so well. Terrific sweetness and the tannins are so good and come one more with air. Sweet, silky and velvety.

Decanting now, red/purple in color, bright cherry Pinot fruits jumping out of the decanter, fun times lay ahead. Notes forthcoming...

Nose is full on cherry perfume, like a great eau de parfum but with mashed spring cherry, hints of dry, crushed rock linger.

Palate is just over packed with ripe, sweet red cherry, early season black cherry...intense.

I think this is still very tight, needs way more air time than tonight, notes will be updated tomorrow.

92hr Update: Intense, deep cherry on the palate, bright acidity for days, time open hasn't faded this one, nice improvement!

Red Riesling for sure, but weightier than I’ve had. Biggest (in your mind) raspberries immediately, you can smell every molecule of that. Violets and lavender. Cherries, cherry tomatoes and cherry flowers on the finish. Really great stoniness. So much energy and life. It’s electric. The tannins are grippy, really fine earl gray and cherry pit and just keep the finish long.
