Great example of an Aussie durif (petite sirah). Bright fruit up front followed by some darker fruits. As it opened the dark fruits were more prominent and a touch of black pepper showed close to the finish. Good stuff.

This Duriff (Petite Syrah) is actually produced in the Barossa Valley of Australia. Calabria is the name of family who founded the winery. A powerful and dense wine that is somewhat soft and subtle at the same time. Big aromas and flavors of blackberry, bakers chocolate and vanilla oak. Beautiful structure and depth. Firm grained tannins with a long warming finish. Solid.
