Pettenthal Riesling

Closed but promising. Sick nose. Palate closed. Nose has not budged much. Citrus, saline, caramel. Lime zest. Palate is complex and juicy with lovely almost sweet mineral expression. Really creamy and long. Very good.

Flint, mineral, deep citrus fruit. Great.

Beautiful stony Riesling, lots of zippy citrus acidity and spicy minerality.
Cooler and more elegant than most 2015s from Rheinhessen.

Suffered from the spicy chicken that was served at the same time... so it complexity got lost in the flood...
But the telltale piercing minerality and supporting acidity survived! 🙂

This is the best young GG I had in quite a while.
So much minerality, so much spice...
Lithe, ethereal, yet concentrated.
Looking forward to witness its evolution.

95+ wow, this riesling is super elegant: white flowers, bees wax, citrus, tropical fruits. A nose to die for. Smoked gun, bacon...Wonderful backbone of integrated multilayered minerality. This wine is showing its power without showing muscles. Great potential. I am a big fan😇

Tasts like a 25 yr-old dry Riesling.
