Centgrafenberg Frühburgunder "J" Trocken

Younger on the nose than the 2005. Red fruits, violets, beautiful. So floral. Amazing purity to the aromas. So detailed. Super sweet in the mouth with such force. Wow. This is intense and sappy and has maximum flavor impact. So juicy, ripe and textured. Deep and pure with amazing balance. Stunning. This kills so much Burgundy for $50-$125. Wow.

Nose has ripe black cherry, blackberry, spring violets, vanilla, melted bittersweet chocolate and dry earth.
Palate has dried black cherry, ripe black currant, ripe plum, wet tree bark, molasses bread and under-ripe cherry, slightly tart with medium tannins.
Bottled under Stelvin closure, opened for slow oxidation 6H, then decanted 2H, more time appreciated. Notes to be updated.
24H Update:
Nose exudes ripe, sappy dark red fruits, just overrunning the Gabriel Glas, light (warm) molasses, brown bread dough and black cherry syrup reduction. Palate is crazy, all prior traits but with a sweet reduction and the acidity actually picked up. Moving this score from 9.4 to 9.5, likely one of the finest red German wines I've ever tasted. An equal to finely aged Burgundy wine.

Pure cherry fruit, amazing juice and clarity, bit of exotic wood. Burgundy, you wish. Lovely. Thanks, Fass Selections.

Classic fruh. Fresh spicy cherries. Aromatic. Licorice. Spice. Great texture. Pinot heads that are not drinking German Pinot are really missing out. Bought from Fass Selections.
