A rare GV Auslese bottle, and I think 09’ is the only vintage the winery ever made an Auslese from the Lamm vineyard so far.
The initial nose exploded with sweet tropical fruits such as lychee, mango, and kiwi, almost reminiscing SB from NZ, then settled down with lime, honey, white flower, red berries, and hint of green pepper. The palate is viscous almost oily yet very lively, with impeccable balance between acidity and sweetness. A clean lifted finish.
A revelation.
