Great bottle for the obstreperous growing season of 08 in California. When first opened it seemed over oaked. However, with just a short time to breathe it has abundant fruit. Underripe black and red cherries on the nose with hints of strawberry. I always get a fresh rubber smell from pinots from this region. Nice spicy french oak scents. Lots of over ripe, bruised strawberry jammy goodness. Pomegranate undertones on the palate as well. Its finishes with a nice caramel, vanilla and cedar oaky ness. I really like it.

This vino should be called Ferguson because it is deep, dark, and luscious. It's rich wide body glides down your gullet. Black berry, black currant, black cherry; all I can say is move over Mrs Butterworth, there's a new bitch in town...oh wow what a fat bouquet.
