Bottle 22/1236. After a month's decant I must update. This wine is like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry's girlfriend appears beautiful or hideous depending on the light. This wine comes off as blisteringly acidic or delightfully pungent and complex. After a month, I must say it has finally blossomed into the latter. Stunningly fragrant nose (you'll smell this across a room), sparkling palate, classic rapier-like finish. Very nice.

May 5th, 2017Rather more interesting than the Boal. Maderised, acidic nose present and correct. Citrus, vanilla, wood, tobacco. Bright, powerful, simmering acid--rapier-like on the palate. Long finish.
