Big and powerful style of Rioja. Assume Grenache is doing that. Nose is full of dark fruit. Not without complexity. Palate is as the nose suggests - big, quite rich black and blue fruit. Plumbs. The tobacco and cedar is there from the tempranillo but it is shrouded by the plumb. Overt tannins, but quite fine and giving good grip and a long dry finish. Big but Well balanced. Would buy again
