La Crau de ma Mère Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Animalistic, big, hot, and a bit disjointed. Components haven't meshed. Very acidic finish that was quite short and hot. Flavors are complex nevertheless.

Raspberry jam, white pepper, wood. Lacked balance. Nice tannin but the acidity was sticking out like a sore thumb. Maybe a few years will allow it to settle? Hot on the finish too.

Still quite fruit forward at almost a decade old but nice dirt starting to show through. I'll wait a few more years before cracking my next bottle

really good fruit + earth but overly acidic & poor finish.
