Aromas of dried cranberries, candied cherry. Very balanced on the palate, a hint of sweetness on entry, bright acidity, a very light touch of oak. Flavors of red fruit, tart cranberry and sour cherry, tannins are well integrated but contribute to a very long (2 minute +) tart/sour finish. A 75% Grenache, 22% Syrah, 3% Mourvèdre blend from Santa Barbara County -- though I'd have confused it for the biggest, boldest Châteauneuf-du-Pape I've ever seen. Delightful at all levels.
