Nose is forest floor and pretty, palate is pretty dead. Maybe over the hill.

Elegant critter label. Snowy birds. Smells like cooked Pinot from the New World. Smoke and cherry candies. Kinda an orangish-red color. The flavors are mouth filling and meaty. Smoked meats and slightly burnt toast covered with a marmalade of strawberry and blood oranges. It’s also got some nice grapefruit peel bitterness. Smooth finish. Lacks zip, but it’s enjoyable and hearty for Pinot. Maybe a bit too aged and slightly over-oaked.

Medium light body. Plum red color. Complex medium plus nose with tons of mushroom and earthy musk. Old world inspired burgundy style with dark cherries. Low alcohol. Good tanin structure. Balanced tight finish. Light mouthfeel. Not too much fruit. More earthy vegetable but not overpowering. Medium low acid. Would pair great with food.
