I’ve loved the 1-2 of these I’ve had (courtesy of my good buddy @Mike R ), and this 2015 is no different. Has the stuffing to hold for another few years!
Tropical! Wow. So much ripe and juicy tropical fruit here. The oak is evident, but not detracting. With this coming from Howell Mtn, it certainly has that viscous/mountain structure. It reminds me of high end Bordeaux Blanc mixed with La Pelle from Cali. Aromatically, it leaps from the glass with honeyed sea salt, cantaloupe, lemongrass and white peach. On the palate, it is so textured and rich, almost creamy. More peach, poached pear, lemon oil, and creamsicle. There is good acidity here and while the profile is rounded, it’s certainly not flabby. I followed this over two days and it stayed strong.

So VASO and second Melka SB - second wine out of 11 plus wines with @David L - so much like a VASO - right off when opening was the petro notes which evolved and became its usual citrus notes and well balanced constantly evolving with complexities - so consistent -‘and a special note - with my great friend DL
